The Tom’s Guide Story

One Review, Then a Second One They Wrote Themselves

We reached out to Tom’s Guide’s editorial team. They assigned a colleague to review the Metal Crush Defender, and the first article went live on October 2, 2024. Five days later, the same editor published a second article — this time an opinion piece titled “So long Hall Effect — I’m only using controllers with TMR sensors from now on.” They wrote it on their own, without us asking. That article went live on the last day of China’s National Day holiday. We woke up to orders surging in.

“Despite its beaten up aesthetic, build quality is absolutely stellar.”
“The boost to accuracy is definitely noticeable.”
